Wow it’s been awhile, I am so glad that things have now calmed down, still busy but the priorities have been set and I have now found the time to keep you all up to date.

So I just got done shooting a three day wedding. It all started with a well organized rehearsal on Friday, followed by one of the most colorful & beautiful weddings ever. Followed by today where God was truly praised in a wonderful church celebration.

One of the great privileges was to work with Yemi & Yinka they were so wonderful through all of this. At our prep meeting Yinka said “I want every second of my day captured”; I believe we only missed one or two seconds of the 12 hour affair.

Enough talk let me give you a taste

There is more to come, but now comes a little rest.
I of course can't rest without thanking Karen & Robbin Who were truly a BLESSING; they came along to be what we call second shooters, but they were much more than that, they were an intricate part of the preservation of Yemi & Yinka’s day. I could not have done this with out them, so I thank God for their lives & the passionate talent; they so generously shared with us. My only regret is that I didn’t get a photo with them.

I will post up links when I get a spare Moment In Time.

After the storm

Hey everybody sorry for the delay, as many of you know our family has had a honorable tragedy, and our family is still spinning, so I have dropped all nonessential daily tasks, like blogging. I hope to get back to it soon but for now I need to focus on our two new family members and helping them through the changes that unfortunately came with their horrible loss. As well as keeping the high level of customer service that I pride myself on. Here is a picture of Tyler & Carter when we took them to the Zoo with my nieces.

Hope to talk to you all soon.

God bless

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Today (Monday) I spent most of the day resting; I am as we would say "trusting the Lord for strength" (translation I’m fighting a cold).

But I wanted to post up some shots I got of a beautiful Baby Dedication on Sunday. I shoot a lot of these and the colors are always amazing, this family was great and produced some especially captivating shot’s.

What’s a Baby Dedication?

Well it is a celebration that happens a week or two after a new baby is born.

All the family & friends come to church Dressed to the nines and at the end of the Sunday service the pastor has all the “Well Wisher’s” (everybody) go to the back of the church and then the band starts up playing the family’s favorite praise songs, and while the choir sings everybody dances to the front

where they hand the baby off to the pastor who reads off the Baby’s name/names and then everyone prays with the Pastor over the Child’s life.

After the Baby has been dedicated to God, an offering is given as people dance back to there seats.

It’s a really neat experience, I can 't wait to have my own!

I wonder if we'll do one for each of the twins?
Or maybe we'll combine them into one?
Hopefully We'll Find Out Soon!

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This morning was interesting; I come home after dropping Martha and as I’m walking up the entry stairs to our place I look up and see

It appears that the wind blew the window right off track (the clips holding at the top broke) and came crashing down shattering one of the panes of glass,,,, it’s by the grace of God that no one was walking by when it happened (it’s things like this that we often neglect to thank God for). So being a photographer I spent the next 15-30 minutes playing around with the different angles and lighting.

I got this symbolic shot where an ambulance drove by right as I was taking a jagged glass shot (Shattered lives & Ambulances unfortunately can go hand in hand)

After the fun was over I took down the window so no body would get hurt Our landlord seemed relieved to get a call telling him the situation had been resolved; instead of “We’re suing you for getting cut”. If people want money they should get a job instead of driving everyone’s insurance rates up. Sorry big pet peeve,,,,,, Back to photography.

As I was taking some of the shot’s I saw my reflection and well, I snapped this one just for fun.

I know smiles are nice but it was a shatterd window

I don’t know if it’s just me or does everyone notice interesting stuff when their driving around. Like well Big Giant Dogs in Itty Bitty trucks.

Tomorrow Is A New Week, That Means A Fresh Start

So What Are You Going To Do With It

Another Great Day

Thanks for checking in everybody; Today was a great day, as I started my morning I prayed and asked for guidance as to what the Lord wanted me to do, when I was finished I pulled off from my wives work and within less than 1 minute Pastor Prof called and asked me to come help him at church.

It is really awesome to pray and receive an answer so quickly; although I always remind myself that even when the answers aren’t quick they always come on time.

Speaking of right on time; I spoke with my friend John today and he has agreed to be on the board of directors for T.H.A.N.K.S.

For those of you reading this who haven’t heard of T.H.A.N.K.S. go check out our new web site (still under construction) www.GiveThanksToday.org that should give you a taste of this awesome new Nonprofit Organization that is on the rise here in St. Louis.

As Usual
Thanks For Checking In
